Beauty marketing rarely begins with a glossy campaign appearing on Instagram. Foundation influencer marketing internships often play a key role in shaping strategies behind the scenes.
Behind the polished creator posts, launch parties and carefully packed product mailers are teams researching talent, contacting agents, organizing guest lists and figuring out which influencer actually makes sense for a brand.
Foundation is now giving students a chance to step into that process.
The beauty communications agency is seeking Beauty PR Interns and Influencer Marketing Interns for the Fall 2026 semester. The positions will be based at its offices in Dumbo, Brooklyn, and Los Angeles, with interns expected to work in person for at least two days each week.
The Influencer Marketing Role Goes Beyond Watching Social Media
Foundation’s influencer marketing interns will help source creators and build influencer lists for brand campaigns.
They will also communicate with influencers and talent agents, manage product mailers, support event RSVP coordination and contribute ideas for creator partnerships and brand activations.
It is the kind of work that happens before audiences see the finished campaign.
Finding creators is one part of it. The intern also needs to understand whether a creator’s audience, content style and reputation fit the brand. A large following may look impressive on a spreadsheet, but it does not automatically make someone the right partner.
Foundation says interns will learn how influencer marketing supports brand awareness and conversion. They will also receive exposure to performance measurements such as earned media value and content engagement.
Beauty PR Interns Will Work on Events, Pitches and Product Mailers
The Beauty PR Internship sits on the other side of the communications operation, although there is plenty of overlap.
Interns will assist with client events, organize beauty closet inventory and manage product mailers. They will conduct competitor research, follow changes in the media landscape and help prepare draft pitches and targeted press lists.
Updating client reports is also part of the role.
Some of that work may sound administrative. It matters more than it appears. A missing product, an outdated media contact or a poorly organized press list can slow down an entire launch.
The position gives interns a practical look at how beauty brands earn coverage rather than simply purchasing exposure.
Interns Will See How Beauty Campaigns Take Shape
Foundation plans to involve interns in strategy discussions, team meetings, brand immersions and cross-functional training.
Participants may observe how teams shape campaign narratives, position products and build launch calendars. They will also see how publicists pitch editors and creators, follow up with media contacts and maintain professional relationships over time.
Event planning forms another part of the experience. Interns will help support brand activations from the early planning stage through execution.
That could mean preparing mailers one day and helping coordinate a beauty launch event the next. Agency internships are rarely tidy. This one does not appear to be pretending otherwise.
Foundation Has Worked With Recognizable Beauty Brands
Foundation describes itself as a communications firm focused on launching and scaling beauty brands.
Its portfolio includes work connected to Hero Cosmetics, Briogeo, Nécessaire, Patrick Ta Beauty and Homecourt. The agency operates across categories including skincare, haircare, body care and color cosmetics.
That client background gives interns exposure to a part of beauty marketing where public relations, creator partnerships, events and cultural relevance increasingly sit together.
A beauty launch no longer travels through magazines alone. It can move through TikTok reviews, Instagram tutorials, creator events, press coverage and unboxing videos within the same week.
The line between PR and influencer marketing has become rather thin.
Applicants Need Strong Organization and Beauty Industry Awareness
Foundation is looking for candidates who understand beauty, wellness, influencers and current media trends.
Applicants should have strong written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to stay organized while handling a long and constantly changing list of tasks. The agency also wants candidates who are resourceful, detail-oriented and comfortable working quickly.
Enthusiasm for beauty helps, naturally. Still, knowing every viral serum will not be enough. The work also involves spreadsheets, outreach emails, follow-ups, inventory checks and deadlines that do not care whether someone has finished scrolling through TikTok.
The Internships Run From September to December 2026
The Fall 2026 internships are expected to begin in September and continue through December.
Candidates must receive school credit and must be available to work in person for at least two days per week. Applicants can choose between the Foundation office in Dumbo, Brooklyn, or its Los Angeles location.
New York interns will receive a monthly unlimited MetroCard. Those working in Los Angeles will receive gas reimbursement and parking validation. Free beauty products are also included among the perks.
How to Apply for the Foundation Internships
Interested candidates should send a resume and cover letter to hiring@wearefoundation.co.
The application should clearly state whether the candidate is applying for the Beauty PR Internship or the Influencer Marketing Internship. Applicants must also specify whether they prefer the New York or Los Angeles office.
A generic application may not travel very far here.
Candidates should explain why they are interested in beauty communications, mention any experience involving creators or social media and show that they understand the less glamorous work behind a successful campaign.
Why These Internships Matter for Creator Marketing Careers
Influencer marketing is becoming more structured.
Brands still want creative people who understand internet culture, but they also need employees who can research creators, manage outreach, monitor performance and keep campaigns organized. Foundation’s internship combines those skills with traditional beauty PR experience.
For students trying to enter creator marketing, that mix could be useful.
The internship is not simply about spending a semester around beauty products. It offers a closer look at how agencies turn products into stories, stories into creator partnerships and creator partnerships into measurable brand attention.
That is where much of modern beauty marketing now happens.
